Aly Valentine

Ms. Aly Valentine began her Extension career in May 2011 as the Area Extension Director for the Upper Shore Cluster (Cecil, Kent and Queen Anne's Counties). In June of 2015, she transitioned to the role of Area Extension Director for the Mid-Shore Cluster (Caroline, Dorchester and Talbot Counties).  During her career at the University of Maryland Extension(UME), she served as the co-chair of the 2014-2019 Strategic Planning Committee and has contributed to a number of large scale projects for the organization. 

In 2017, Aly  became the Assistant Director of Operations (ADO) for UME.   In this role, Aly  works closely with the Associate Dean /Associate Director of UME, to provide management oversight for faculty/staff in UME with regard to organizational function. Specifically, she provides  support to Area Extension Directors (AEDs), Baltimore City Extension Director (BCED), and unit chairs/coordinators in the areas of fiscal management, personnel management and public relations. As the ADO, she understands and supports UME vision, mission and program initiatives and priorities and manages field operations to support those areas statewide. In carrying out these duties, Aly understands and ensures implementation of all University, College and UME policies and procedures. As the ADO, Aly, represents the interest of all field-­based faculty and staff to the UME Leadership Team.
