UMD Travel Grant

In order to deepen the University of Maryland's existing international connections, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) periodically offers a Global Partnerships-Faculty Travel Grant Competition. Grant funds support one or more faculty member to travel to one or more existing UMD partner institutions either to improve the implementation of existing formal collaborations or to develop new formal collaborative projects and programs. Awards are up to $5,000 per project, with an additional 20% of the amount of the grant required to be provided by the home academic department, college, or school of the grantee. Funds may be applied to transportation, accommodations, food, and other travel-related expenses. Up to four grants will be funded each round.

For more information on the Global Partnerships Travel Grants Program for Faculty and Researchers, please contact Dr. Joseph Scholten in the Office of International Affairs.
