Dr. Mona Habibi is a Family and Consumer Sciences Faculty with the University of Maryland Extension (UME) serving Montgomery, Howard, and Frederick counties (Central Maryland Cluster). Her work emphasis is on community nutrition. Dr. Habibi teaches in the area of nutrition, food safety, health, and physical activity. Her role is to assess the healthy living (primarily focusing on nutrition) needs in her cluster; develop and/or adapt research-based educational materials/programs; evaluate programs; and assess the outcomes. She is a co-chair of UME's Nutrition, Health, and Wellness Action Team.
