Dr. Jennifer Bentlejewski began her UME career in 1997 as a Faculty Extension Assistant and then as a tenured faculty member focusing on nutrition education. While obtaining tenure, she also assumed the role of County Extension Director and dual-county educator serving Garrett and Allegany Counties. In 2010, she assumed her current position as Area Extension Director for Western Maryland. She strives to effectively market UME to new and existing partners, funders, and clientele; build solid working relationships with Garrett, Allegany, and Washington County governments; and support faculty and staff in achieving their UME goals.
