SNAP-Ed Project Leader

LaTasha was hired as the first Project Leader and Nutrition Educator for University of Maryland Extension’s (UME), Maryland SNAP-Ed program (formerly known as the Food Supplement Nutrition Education Program- FSNE) in Prince George’s County in February 2005. In September 2015, she became the first Project Leader and Nutrition Educator in Anne Arundel County. Maryland SNAP-Ed is a program that creates healthier environments and improves the health and wellbeing of limited income families across Maryland. SNAP-Ed provides comprehensive programs that consist of nutrition education lessons, social marketing programs and policy, system and environmental-level changes at partnering sites.
