Pollutions of nutrients, organic contaminants and heavy metals in agricultural/urban stormwater, streams, rivers and coastal waters.  Impacts of land-use and land-cover and climate changes on sources and transport of pollutions from watersheds to coastal. My current research focuses on Nutrient management in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed

• Monitoring edge-of-field stormwater runoff from Maryland agricultural landscapes
Effects of agricultural practices on quantity and quality of fluvial organic matter
• Application of nitrate dual isotopes in tracking sources of nitrogen
