Ashley Travis began her career in Extension in 2012 as a Nutrient Management Advisor in Frederick County, and transferred to Washington County in 2014. In May of 2017 she began working in her current position as a tenure-track 4-H Extension Educator.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science and Technology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and earned her master’s degree in Environmental Management from the University of Maryland, University College.
Ashley is responsible for organizing, developing, implementing, and evaluating youth education programs within Washington County. She also works very closely with families, people within the community, and volunteers of the program. 4-H provides experiential learning opportunities for youth, leading to the development of life skills.
